Not long ago, controlling who could get into a building meant handing out keys and hoping you got them all back. Access control has moved well past that.
Most systems today use fobs or cards, and a growing number use mobile credentials, so a phone becomes the key. Access is managed from software rather than a ring of keys. You can grant a new hire access on their first morning, revoke it the moment someone leaves, set schedules so doors unlock and lock on their own, and pull a report of who went where and when.
For businesses with more than one location or regular staff turnover, that control matters. Losing a fob is a few clicks to disable, not a locksmith call and a stack of rekeyed doors. Access control also ties into the rest of a security system, so a door forced open can trigger an alarm and flag the nearest camera.
We design and install access control for commercial and industrial buildings, from a single main entrance to a full multi door system across a site.
